The Russian invasion of Ukraine has caused an unprecedented refugee crisis in Europe, with nearly 4 million Ukrainians fleeing the country and some 7 million people displaced internally. (WHO Europe press release, 24 Mar 2022)
The war has also severely disrupted routine healthcare including access to HIV medication and prevention services.
